| Published: January 02, 2007 The Richmond Register Louise Dowell Louise Dowell, 74, widow of James E. Dowell, died Monday, January 1, 2007, in the Terrace Nursing Facility in Berea. Born in Jackson County on January 16, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Forgie & Rena Cain Murphy. She was a member of the Stoney Run Baptist Church. She is survived by: three sisters, Corene Halcomb of Dayton, Ohio, Ruby (Tip) Minor of Berea and Bobbie (Ray) Adkins of Richmond; three brothers, Willie C. (Dorthea) Murphy of Dayton, Ohio, Stanley (Shirley) Murphy of Martin, Tenn., and Ben (Lucy) Murphy of Richmond; many other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by: three brothers, Quinton, Winford and Homer Murphy; and two sisters, Geneva Cain and Zora Mae Gabbard. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2007, at Turpin Funeral Home by the Rev. George Bryant. Burial will follow in the Madison Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers will be Mrs. Dowell’s nephews and other family members. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. |
