Vernon, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005 at the Rockcastle Hospital. She was born in Rockcastle County on Oct. 1, 1911 the daughter of Ambrose and Nora Sowder Hasty. She was a homemaker and was of the Holiness faith. She is survived by five sons, Ray Doan (Arlene), Vernon Doan (Charlotte), Elzie Doan (Mary), and Darrell Doan, all of Mt. Vernon, and Dallas Doan (Beverly) of Columbus, IN; four daughters, Elsie McClure (Clarence) and Tessie Allen (Bob), both of Flint, MI, Sadie Hylander of Springdale, OH, and Glenna Bell (James) of Monticello, KY; five brothers, Boyd Hasty, Bill Hasty, Tully Hasty, Raymond Hasty, and Joe Hasty; and one sister, Louella Hasty. Also surviving are 40 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walker Doan; three daughters; a granddaughter; and a grandson. |
