Vernon, KY, died Monday, Sep. 18, 2006 at the VA Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born in Johnson Co., KY on Aug. 23, 1920 the son of Arthur and Fannie Mae Emmert Dixon. He was a farmer, a member of the Conway Tabernacle Church of God, and was an Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by three sisters, Grace Evans, Julie Martin, and Martha Bullock, all of Mt. Vernon, KY; and his caregiver, Loutisha Powell of Berea, KY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Dixon and George Dixon; and four sisters, Elsie Banks, Edith Boston, Mable Roe, and Stella Sheldt. |
