Mr. George Marion Debord, age 78 of Mt. Vernon, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003 at the Rockcastle Health & Rehabilitation Center in Brodhead. He was born in Pulaski County, KY on Oct. 21, 1925 the son of Isaac and Anna Sowder Debord. He was a retired self-employed construction worker and a member of the Fairview Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Thelma Smith Debord; two sons, William Debord and wife Roxanna, and Archie Debord and wife Veronica, all of Somerset; and one brother, John Debord of Willailla. Also surviving are one grandchild, Crystal Debord; and one great grandchild, Christopher Shea Brown. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Junior Debord; and two sisters, Mildred Whittis and Virginia Ellen Debord.
