Mr. Paul Gene Deatherage, age 66 of Rt. 5 Mt. Vernon, died Friday, Apr. 30 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Rockcastle County on Mar. 13, 1938 the son of Arlis and Clotine Hansel Deatherage. He was a retired employee of the Kentucky Stone Company and a member of the Chestnut Ridge Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lotheda Whitt Deatherage; a son, Paul Deatherage, Jr. (Melissa) of Mt. Vernon; three daughters, Beverly Fetters and Kimberly Robinson (Mike), both of Lexington, and Lisa Pulliam (George) of Mt. Vernon; his mother, Clotine Hansel Deatherage of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Charles Coman Deatherage and Saley Joe Deatherage, both of Mt. Vernon; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
