Ethyle "Junior" Daugherty, age 80, husband of Maxine Cash Daugherty passed away, Monday, Sept. 5, 2005 at his residence .

He was born on June 24, 1925 in Smokey Junction, Tenn., a son of the late Ethel Lewis and Rachael Vann Daugherty. He was a member of the Smokey Creek Baptist Church, had been a coal miner,& truck driver, was also a member of the #566 F&AM of Brodhead. He served his country in the Armed forces- pacific theatre, bronze star and purple receipant. His interest and hobbies included sports, particularly boxing and baseball. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

On October 7, 1946 he was united in holy matrimony to Maxine Cash and from that union came two sons-Edward & Larry.

Those left to mourn his passing include his wife of 58years, Maxine Cash Daugherty of Brodhead, Ky; two sons-Edward Daugherty and wife Patsy of Richmond, Ky and Dr. Larry Daugherty and wife Susan of Brodhead, Ky; one brother-Harold Ray Daugherty and wife Flonnie of LaFollette, Tenn. one sister-Edna Ruth West and husband James of Huntsville, Tenn; four grandchildren-Lorie Daugherty of Richmond, KY, Emily Dyehouse and husband John of Brodhead, Ashley Daugherty of Richmond, KY and Andrew Daugherty of Brodhead, KY. As well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters-Pearl Daugherty Paul and Magnolia Hembree Webb and his step mother-Flora Hembree Daugherty.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 7, 2005 from 6-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funrals in Brodhead with Masonic Rites.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 8, 2005 at 2PM, at the Marvin E. Owens Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Jim Craig and Shelby Reynolds officiating; burial will follow in the Ottawa Cemetery with Military rites by VFW #1410.
