Mrs. Barbara Ellen Collins, age 59 of Rt. 4 Mt. Vernon, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003 at her home. She was born in Elkhart, IN on Oct. 10, 1944 the daughter of Carl H. and Mary Hawkins Nichols. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for Rockcastle Hospital and was a member of the Pine Hill Holiness Church.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Lee Collins; a son, Christopher Collins; a daughter, Valerie Dillingham (Randy) of Mt. Vernon; a brother, David Nichols of Alabama; and two sisters, Louise Collins and Carla Sorg, both of Elkhart, IN. Also surviving are five grandchildren.
