| Mrs. Anna Lee Chasteen Born: 07/05/1916 Died: 02/28/2005 Visitation: Thursday 5 - 9 pm Funeral Service: Friday 1:00 pm Interment: Fairview Cemetery Anna Lee Reppert Chasteen, 88, Rt. 3, Mt. Vernon, died suddenly Monday, Feb. 28, 2005 at the Berea Hospital of a cerebral aneurysm. She was a life long resident of Rockcastle County, born July 5, 1916, daughter of the late Eugene and Liddie Mullins Reppert, a homemaker, and a faithful member of Fairview Baptist Church where she served in many positions including Sunday School teacher. Survivors include her husband, Hubert Chasteen; 5 children, Hubert (Lynetta) Chasteen, Jr, of Berea, Clayton Wayne (Carolyn) Chasteen, Janet (R.J.) Ridgell of Mt. Vernon, Joyce (James) Seals of Berea, Darlene (Anthony) Abney of Mt. Vernon; 1 brother, James Reppert of Eubank; 3 sisters, Ruth Gatliff, Myrt Wilson of Berea, Dorothy Pogorelc of Ohio, 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 1 grandson Aaron; 8 brothers and sisters, Margaret, Robert, Bertha, Marcus, Everett, Tilford, Mary Jane, and Ira. Funeral Service 1:00 pm, Friday, March 4, 2005 at Reppert Funeral Home with Rev. Steve McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation 5 - 9 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Cummins, Bill Fowler, Luther Isaacs, Rick Adams, David Chasteen, Rodney Chasteen. Grandsons and granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers. |
