Vernon, KY. He was born in Jackson County, KY on Aug. 28, 1933 the son of Ben and Bessie Turner Carpenter. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Pine Hill Holiness Church. He is survived by his wife, Katha Morris Carpenter; one son, Mark Carpenter (Deanna); two daughters, Kaye Sizemore (Jeff) and Brenda Hillard; ten grandchildren, Lauryn Carpenter, Ethan Carpenter, Justin Sizemore, Kyle Sizemore, Amy Whitehead Gentry, Andrea Whitehead Hillard, Amber Whitehead, Austin Whitehead, Bridgett Hillard, and Beth Hillard; two brothers, Eddie Carpenter (Judy) and Darrell Carpenter (Mindy), both of Livingston, KY; and nine sisters, Janet Greer (Larry) of Liberty, KY, Norma PItts of Woodbury, TN, Jewel Couch (Dwayne), Connie Robinson (Lee), Bonnie Wilson (Willis), Ella Mae Kilburn (Bill), Geraldine Koenik, and Buella Andrews, all of Hamilton, OH, and Faye Johnson of Somerset, KY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Carpenter Whitehead; two sisters, Loraine Morris and Mildred Carpenter; and a brother, Coleman Carpenter. |
