| Michael Christopher Carey (September 14, 1971 - June 27, 2006) Michael C. Carey, 34, of Richmond, died suddenly Tuesday morning, June 27, 2006, at home. He was born in Lexington, KY on September 14, 1971, and had been a steel worker with Mid State Steel and Fab Steel of Lexington. He is survived by his companion, Angie Gibson and his son, Michael Paul Gibson Carey, both of Richmond; his parents, Leslie Clay (Vanessa) Carey of Winfield, Alabama and Sandra K. Griwatsch (Michael Carter) of Richmond; one brother, Matthew Clayton Carey of Lexington; three step-sisters, Lelia, Cassidy and Robin Carey, all of Lexington; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Watkins Family Cemetery on Buchanon Fork at Campton, KY, with John Hager officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, Barnes Mill Road, Richmond. |
