| Published: December 07, 2006 The Richmond Register Beulah Callahan, 82 Beulah Dees Callahan, 82, of White Oak Drive, Richmond, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 5, 2006, in her home with her family. She was born on Nov. 17, 1924, in Rockcastle County, Ky., the daughter of the late Charles and Etta Bowman Dees. Ms. Callahan was a retired group leader for Brown & Williams Tobacco Company and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was the widow of Frank Callahan, who died in 2001, and was preceded in death by: one brother, Edward Dees; and four sisters, Pearl Jackson, Virgie Thomas, Cora Parker and Delphia Witt. Mrs. Callahan is survived by: two sons, Charles Callahan (Susan), of Lexington, and Don Callahan (Virgie), of Richmond; two daughters, Pat Abrams and Sue Stacy (Steve) with whom she made her home, both of Richmond; four sisters, Loraine Kelley and Opal Bowlin, both of Richmond, Shirley Bradley (Charles), of Lancaster, and Ruby Johnson and Bessie “Trigger” Dees, both of Hamilton, Ohio; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, 328 W. Main Street, Richmond, with Dr. Art Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Kendall Hawn, Clay Bennett, Ray Brooks, Doug Bowlin, Chuck Callahan and Jason Rhorer. |
