Anna Bell Boggs, 96, of Richmond Health and Rehabilitation-Richmond, died June 6, 2006 at Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Madison County and had worked as a cook at Gibson Hospital and Pattie A. Clay Hospital. She also worked at One Hour Dry Cleaners and was a receptionist at Telford Center.


She is survived by: special grandson, Charles (Charlene) Hawkins of Richmond; sisters, Rosetta Ross of Richmond and Clara Turner of Detroit, Michigan; 16 grandchildren and a host of great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: parents, Jim Pleasant and Sue Elizabeth Hayes; daughter, Evelene Sanders; sisters, Sallie Francis and Rose Lee Weldon; husband, Jack Boggs; sons, Herbert Ross and James (Freddy)Ross.


Funeral services for Mrs. Boggs will be 12:00 noon Saturday, June 10, 2006 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Richmond. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Roneil Ballew, Dan Huguely, Robert Ross, Darrell Turner, Sr., Herman Tyson and Sherman Tyson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Duran Sinclair, Charles Parker, Dennis Ballew, Stanley Miller, Johnny Huguely, William Huguely, Raymond Covington.
