Michael Edward Boardman, age 68 of Jackson Street in Berea, died Friday at his home. He was a native of Dover, Delaware, a retired Unitarian Universalist minister, a member of St. Clare Catholic Church, the Berea Rotary Club and a volunteer at the Berea Hospital. He moved to Berea from Natick, Mass.

Mr. Boardman is survived by: his wife, Barbara Bowman Prairie of Berea, daughters, Katherine Lynn Boardman Edwards of Brookline, Mass. and Sheila Morse Boardman of Farmingham, Mass.; step daughters, Adrienne Prairie Cruise of Cincinnati, Ohio and Karen Prairie Ransom of Charlottsville, Va.; brothers, Patrick Boardman of Aiken, S. C., William Boardman of Alameda, Ca. and Frank Boardman of Carrboro, N.C.; grandchildren, Hannah and Rebecca Edwards; step grandchildren, Ian and Eleanor Ransom and Liam Cruise.

Funeral services for Mr. Boardman will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2005 at St. Clare Catholic Church with Father John Curtis officiating. Burial will be in the Berea Cemetery. Visitation wil be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the Davis and Powell Funeral Home.
