Vernon, died Saturday, Apr. 17 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Lincoln Co., KY on Aug. 22, 1944 the son of Willie E. and Ethel Wilson Bishop. He is survived by his wife, Irene Bryant Bishop; his mother, Ethel Bishop of Mt. Vernon; two sons, Michael Bishop (Vickie) and Shannon Bishop, both of Lebanon, IN; five daughters, Rita Barnett (James) of Fayetteville, NC, Hazel Downs (Gregory) and Paula Bishop, both of Norwood, OH, and Pamela Bishop and Hope Bishop, both of Mt. Vernon; eight brothers, Dexter Bishop and Carlas Bishop, both of Lebanon, IN, Jerry Bishop and Randy Bishop, both of Danville, IN, Coy Bishop of Whitestown, IN, Steve Bishop and Perry Bishop, both of Mt. Vernon, and Cleve Bishop of Michanicsburg, IN; and three sisters, Laverlle Pugh of Mt. Vernon, Susie Denson of Crab Orchard, and Judy Brummett of Brodhead. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie E. Bishop; two brothers; and a sister. |
