Vernon, died Sunday, Nov. 20 at the Rockcastle Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was born in Rockcastle County, KY on Jan. 14, 1933 the daughter of Albert and Martha Hurley Alcorn. She was a homemaker and a member of the Union Chapel Pentecostal Church. She is survived by three sons, Carl Griffin, James Harold Griffin, and Darrell Griffin, all of Mt. Vernon, KY; one daughter, Lorene Bostic of Mt. Vernon, KY; one brother, Gene Alcorn of Mt. Vernon, KY; and two sisters, Marie Brewer of Mt. Vernon, KY and Dovie Winkler of Brodhead, KY. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charlie Griffin and her second husband, Luchian Bevis. |
