Argie S. Bentley, age 89 of Brodhead, KY. widow of Henry H. Bentley passed away, Sunday, February 15, 2004 at the Rockcastle Hospital. She was born on November 5, 1914 in Rockcastle County, a daughter of the late John & Ethel Livesay Singleton. She was of the Pentecostal Faith and a cook at the Dix Point Restaurant for 13 yrs.

Those left to mourn her passing include her children – Magdalene Bullock and husband Russell of Mt. Vernon, KY.; Laverne Riddle and husband Billy P. of Brodhead, KY.; William Bentley and wife Debbie of Brodhead, KY.; Wanda Hacker of Brodhead, KY.; and Larry Bentley of Brodhead, KY. A special daughter in-law Betty Albright.; her grandchildren – Barbara, Terry, Ronnie, Kathy, Karen, Justin, Sherry, Sandy, Jessica, Michelle, Melissa, Willie. Eighteen great grandchildren,; four great-great-grandchildren.; and three nieces and a host of friends and neighbors.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clennie and Steve Singleton.; One grandchild Christina.

Visitation for Mrs. Bentley will be Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at 6 P.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals in Brodhead, KY. Funeral services for Mrs. Bentley will be Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at 2 P.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel with Bro. Randal Adams and Bro. Wendel Johnson officiating; burial will follow in the Singleton Cemetery.
