| Published: October 05, 2006 The Richmond Register Alpha Bennett Alpha Bennett, 85, of Berea, formerly of Canyon Lake, Texas, died Sept. 27, 2006, in Madison County Rehabilitation. Mrs. Bennett was retired form the Burroughs Corp., where she had worked for 30 years. Mrs. Bennett was a member of First Baptist Church on the Eastern Bypass in Richmond, a life member of Rebecca Lodge of Texas and a member of Ranger Exes. Organization. She was proceeded in death by: her parents, James and Anna Mae Robinson; one sister, Fanny Mae Matthews; and one brother, J.B. Robinson. She is survived by: a daughter, Arritta (Leonard) Morris of Berea; two sons, James Bennett of Monterey, Calif.; Madison (Debbie) Wayne Bennett of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Mike and Kari Morris, both of Berea, Holly Morris of Tarzana, Calif., Bennett and Jordon Bennett, both of Plano, Texas, and Marsha Kostus. There was no public visitation. Graveside services were to be held at Ranger Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, Texas. Spurlin Funeral Home in Lancaster was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund First Baptist Church on the Eastern Bypass. |
