| Mr. Quinton Barnett Born: 08/18/1918 Died: 07/27/2006 Visitation: From 6 to 9 PM Saturday July 29, 2006 at Cox Funeral Home Funeral Service: 2 PM Sunday July 30, 2006 at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel Interment: Elmwood Cemetery Mr. Quinton Barnett age 87 of Mt.Vernon died Thursday July 27, 2006 at the Berea Health Care Nursing Home. He was born on August 18, 1918 in Rockcastle County the son of the late Melvin and Eliza Jane Mullins Barnett. He was a retired farmer, state highway worker, janitor at Mt.Vernon School, enjoyed coon & fox hunting, was a member of the State Fox Hunters Association, and was a member of the Union Baptist Church at Red Hill. Survivors are: two sons; Charlie Barnett, and wife Lois of Berea, and Jimmy Barnett, and wife Judy of London. One daughter; Mrs. Anna Jane Carpenter, and husband Birchel of Burlington, Ky.. Seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by: his wife; Francis Dailey Barnett, by two brothers; Clyde, and Goldie Barnett, and by one sister; Cora Hansel. |
