| Mark Eugene Baker (January 2, 1944 - October 8, 2006) Mark Eugene Baker, 62, of Richmond, husband to Mary Jane Baker, died Sunday, October 8, 2006, at his home. A native of Jessamine County, he was the son of the late Thomas Fountain Baker Jr. Mr. Baker was a member of the Nicholasville Baptist Church and a farmer and auto technician. Survivors include one son, Mark Thomas Baker and wife Rosemary of Richmond; one daughter, Deborah Lynn Shepard and husband Michael of Berea; his mother, Alice J. Baker of Lexington; five grandchildren, Leikka Shepard, Delores Shepard, Tristan Shepard, Amanda Baker, Terry Wayne Noe; one great grandchild Kelsi Leeann Noe, one brother, Thomas F. Baker III, one sister, Mary Prince Dinger; niece, Kara Leigh Vittitow and nephew, Brandon Dale Vittitow. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Versailles Road in Lexington, with Chaplain Peggy Patrick officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Shepard, Brandon Dale Vittitow, Scott Vahalen, Brad Bowman, Matthew Durham, Henry Baker, Johnny Burge and Terry Noe. Visitation will be from 6 – 9 p.m. Tuesday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home. |
