| Herman Avery (August 25, 1915 - November 10, 2006) Herman R. Avery, 91, of Logan Ave., husband of Martha Gladys Hopper Avery, died Friday, November 10, 2006, at the Pattie A Clay Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Booneville, IN, and the son of the late Roscoe and Carrie Avery. Mr. Avery was a retired chair manufacturing worker, and an Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of the VFW in Indiana and member of the Salem Christian Church in Huntingburg, IN. Other than his wife Martha Avery, he is survived by a son Richard (Marceda) Avery of Reno, NV, a daughter Rosemary (Bennie) Mason of English, IN, a step-son Ronald (Mary Sue) Hopper of Berea, KY, a step-daughter Sue Hopper of Richmond, KY and nine grandchildren including a special granddaughter Shauna Poore. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 13, 2006, at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with Rev. Maurice Adams and Danny Poore officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chris Hopper, Cass Quiggins, Kenneth Breedlove, Leon Parks, Danny Poore and Steven Havener.
