Vernon, died Sunday, Mar. 1 at the Rockcastle Health & Rehabilitation Center in Brodhead. She was born in Rockcastle County on Nov. 4, 1904 the daughter of John and Mattie Allen Owens. She was a homemaker and a member of the Livingston Pentecostal Church. She is survived by two sons, Clyde Allen (Helen) of Pensacola, FL, and Edward Allen (Johnna) of Richmond, IN; and five daughters, Velma Jones (Dewey) of Richmond, IN, Geneva Spoonamore and Merry Poynter, both of Mt. Vernon, Ida Mae McClure (Edwin) of West Chester, OH, and Ilene (Charlie) of Latonia, KY. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by her husband, Elzie Allen and four children. |
