Eddie Agee, 101

Eddie B. Agee, 101, of Crestview Nursing Center, died Monday, January 01, 2007, in Madison Manor.

He was born on March 17, 1905, in Madison Co., Ky., the son of the late Ed and Florence Warmouth Agee. He was married for 53 years to the late Mary Elizabeth Ronan Agee, who passed away in 1983.

Eddie B. was a retired employee of the Richmond City Sanitation Dept., a member of the Rosedale Baptist Church, and attended Eastside Bethel Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and walking in the mall, always had a jolly attitude toward life, and enjoyed living. He was a man who showed kindness to all and was a loving and precious dad.

Survivors include: his son, Bobby B. Agee (Rena) of Lexington; three daughters, Betsy Lane (Paul), Tootie Rooks and Doe Moody, all of Richmond; seven grandchildren, Linda Curry, Mike Lane, Eddie Vernon Agee, Betty Brumfield, Bonnie Carney, Leisha Cochran and Sonya Halfhill; one step-grandson, Edward Ronan, Jr.; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a special friend, Minnie James, of Richmond.

He was preceded in death by: one sister, Lula Simpson; a brother, Russell Agee; and a step-son, Edward Lee Ronan.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at the Combs, Parsons and Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Johnathon Tussey and Rev. Virgle Grant officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Combs, Parsons and Collins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Cochran, Chip Halfhill, Mike Lane, Eddie Vernon Agee, Jimmy Simpson, Tyler Halfhill and Kalan Cochran.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff and residents of Crestview Nursing Center.
