He was born on January 8, 1930 in Rockcastle County the son of the late Charlie and Eva King Abney. He was a retired farmer, enjoyed dancing, horses, and was a member of the Holiness faith. Survivors are: his wife; Mrs. Marjorie Williams Abney of Mt.Vernon. One son; Robert Abney of Covington. One step-son; Kevin Bishop of Brooksville, KY. One daughter; Mrs. Linda Steele of Covington, KY. One sister; Mrs. Ida Johnson of Mt.Washington, KY. Six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by: one son, one daughter, seven brothers, three sisters, and by one grandson. |
