Bobbie was a retired employee of the Bluegrass Army Depot, a farmer, a member of the Kingston Masonic Lodge # 315, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Leavel Green Christian Church. Other than his wife Bobbie is survived by four children, Joe Abney, Glen (Mary) Abney, Rebecca (Larry) Roy , Rick (Cathy) Abney, one sister Virgie Wilson, one brother Billy Abney, sister-in-law Ruthie Abney, brother-in-law Mitchell Parker, grandchildren Bobbi Jo Abney, Angela Abney, Derek Abney, Joshua Abney, Missy Abney, Becky Abney, Crystal Abney, Jaclyn Roy, Lauren Roy, step children Betty Von Gruenigen, Kaye (Royce) Hall, step grandchildren Mathew Von Gruenigen, Kelly Von Gruenigen, SaraVard Gibson, Beth Quiroz, step great grandchildren Austin Mendoza and Jennifer Quiroz. Bobbie was preceded in death by his parents Leonard Abney, Ethel Drew Abney, one sister Fannie Parker, two brothers Charlie Abney and Frank Abney. Services will be 1:00pm Friday August 5, 2005 at the Lakes Funeral Home in Berea with Rev. Harvey Spry officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9pm Thursday at the funeral home with a Masonic Service at 7:30pm.
