James N. Huckaby, a native of Illinois, died at Big Pine last Friday, at the age of 67 years, 10 months, 14 days.
He, with others of the family, came to this valley in 1874, and, except for absences spent in Nevada, has lived in the county, principally in or near Laws, ever since. Other members of the family were George Huckaby and Mrs.
Charles Wonacott, both now deceased. Quite an extensive circle of relatives are residents of the valley.
