John was born in Camo, Colo. on Sept. 21, 1924. He died at his home on Sept. 26, 2004 after a lengthy illness. He was 80.
At the age of one he moved from Camo, Colo. to Burbank and attended schools there. He started college, but left and joined the United States Marines in 1942. He served for four years, stationed in the South Pacific on the

John loved horses and enjoyed roping for many years. In later years he went every day to Hing's Donut Shop to have coffee with the boys.
John lived in Bishop for almost 50 years and married Ina Wilt in 1950. They had five children, who all graduated from Bishop schools.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Ethel Kinzy; brother, William Frank Kinzy; and his son, Edward Dale Kinzy.
