The Fay house on Farm Rd. was the original Bigelow Homestead whose owner with another farmer was captured by the indians and brought to Canada. They were released later and returned to Marlboro and fathered quite a large family. Somewhere down the years the house was bought by my Uncle's grandfather whose name was Eliphalet Fay.  My Uncle's name was Arthur Eliphalet Fay and he married my father's sister. In the late sixties early seventies one of Eliphalet's sons Charles resided at the homestead, and my Aunt and Uncle moved in to  take care of him. They restored some of the house that had fallen into disrepair. Charles died some time later and not to much later my Aunt found my Uncle dead in the back yard from a heart attack.

These Fays are all buried in the Southboro  cemetery and I was told Fayville was named after them.
