~ THE JAWOREK SCHOOL ~

I have no early picture of the Jaworek School, however the 1835 map
section shows what the area looked like then.  The star is the approximate
location of where the school would be built.  The road was know as
the "Road to Stow".  The I. Stow and Eager homesteads still stand.

By 1900 as the map section shows below, the area was still undeveloped
and was basically farm land.  The star shows the approximate location
where the school would be built.
The street was named Hosmer and Spoonhill Ave was named.
C. Weeks bought the  Stow Homestead and a son of Eager built a
house on the corner of Eager Ct. (not named yet) and Hosmer.  The
house still stands today.  G. D. Bill owned School No. 10.

The 1958 map section shows the area had built up considerably with many
new roads and homes.  The star indicates tha approximate location where the
school would be built, just over the crest of what is known as Whipsuppenicke Hill.
The school was built in the 1970's and it..............

looks like this today.
