~ 1950 New Building ~

November 8, 1950 Warren Cook delivered address for new building set for completion in June.  Dr. C.W. Smith, dean of marlborough Physicians, was entrusted with the honor of laying the cornerstone at excersises conducted November 7, 1950 at the Marlborough Hospital.

Hector A. Moninoeau enumerated the list of articles which were placed in a copper box by Herman S. Courtemanche.  The box was placed in a slot in the cornerstone for posterity to read.  The articles consited of mainly historical facts concerning the present hospital and the new addition and pictures.
 

Robert C. Morse , prsident of the Marlborough Hospital Board of Trustees delived the welcome address.
