This is a wonderful web site. The historical information provided in both transcribed form and in original images is fantastic. While my interest is in the time period from 1640 - 1720 the breadth of documentation from the earliest history to the present is remarkable. Thank you for the time and effort spent in putting all of this information together and making it available on-line.

Comments:
My ancestor was William Williams and according to the IGI listing, he was born in 1740 or thereabouts in Marlborough/Southborough. I do not know who his father was, but he is supposedly related to the family of the Rev. John Williams of Deerfield, MA who was one of the subjects of John Demos' book, "The Unredeemed Captive". I'm trying to establish a documented connection to the Deerfield Williams but without knowing who William Williams' father was, I cannot pursue the matter further. I do know that Williams Williams son, John, Born 1774, moved with his wife Sally ward of Southborough to the vicinity of Concord Vermont about 1798 or 1799. Is there someone reading this who might be able to shed some light on who William Williams'father was or what connection to the Deerfield Williams there may be?

In searching your site, I was looking for somewhere to send a query. Could you tell me where to look to find the cemetery in Marlborough for my great grandfather's burial.
He was Dennis DONOVAN, who died 16 Aug 1873, in Marlborough. He was an Irish Catholic. I have tried writing to a church there, but their records start in the early 1900s. Any help would be appreciated. Casey Haas

Not much can be found of that era. Any tips or info. would be much appreciated.

You have inconsistent (and, I believe, erroneous information) in familybigelow and town history parts of the web site. (I found these by searching on sawyer.) It was John Bigelow and Thomas SAWYER and his son Elias who were captured and taken to Montreal during King Philips War. The Bigelow site mentions Thomas Sawyer but the actual sentence says Thomas Taylor. The history site says Elias Sawyer Sr & Jr.

I have enjoyed this site so much. I have relied very much on the Vital Records books at the University of British Columbia and the NEHGR volumes as part of my own research on these families and on the generosity of other researchers who were distantly related to me. This site was a real find since I could check my records against what was on this site. You have done a great service to those of us who have ancestors in the town of Marlborough and I thank you sincerely.

Comments:
John; Thanks for bringing me to this web site.I am slowely working my way through, but doubt if any of the Weeks are related to my side. I have two Weeks genealogy books which have information on Supply Weeks. An interesting spot was your listing of the passenger list on the "Speedwell" in 1656. Christopher Holder 25 was among them. He is a descendant on the Slocum side of my family, He was a Quaker at the time of his arrival, and Gov. Endicott hated them. Chris was beaten, many times, with knotted rope, on the Boston Common. He was thrown out of the state, but kept coming back. Eventually, Gov. Endicott had his ear chopped off, and after that, Chris was reffered to as the "Mutilated". Through him,(actually, his wife) we are related to Princess Diana.
From what I've seen so far, you've done a nice job on your site. I wish I had the know-how to do something like this, but I'm too old to learn.
Thanks again,...Randy Weeks
