I masht a run & run singlings till Dark (it rains) than I sot off & went to WM McCAINS & still till morning (SALLY McCAIN) her & I has had a mighty chat this night & many a time we have kept Company & many times it seemed as if nothing could part us & other times it seems as if we never would mary.  However this night we have Concluded for to Quit it all together for a Twelve Month & see if we could make up our minds Rightly in that time. so this morning we parted in Love with an intention for to keep the above Resolution

However Early I Left WM McCAINS & went home to uncles & turnd into my still house to my Daily calling Masht a run & Doubled made 10 gallons & run singlings - O! I there is something the mater with me & I can not tell what -

I sot my stills aruning Than I sot off with uncles Waggon & Negro Ben & went up to my fathers for a Load of corn I call at JAS BECKETS I had a Quantity of hands helping of me for to shell corn at my fathers this night

I walked up to HUGH RODGERS & staid till in the afternoon than home again

Early I sot my stills aruning run singlings till in the Night & Doubled made 11 gallons I was all night in the still house (& very unfit for it)

I Masht a run of Whisky & Doubled made 11 gallons.  This evening I SWOPT a Black horse that I got from WM COUGHRAN to my father for a roan horse & give him 10 Dollare to Boot Than I sot off & went to ISREAL WALKUPS & staid all night he had sent me work that he Could instruct me how for to make 3 gallons to the bushel

when the Rain somwhat abated I sadled my horse & rode over to OSBOURNS for to see if he was ready for to hall my corn for it is ready shild But the morning being wet made the roads slippy so that he did not Like for to go but would rather Lay it over till tomorrow so I went back to Dadys & from that to uncles.

I sot my stills aruning that I sot off from uncles & went to PADY DAVLONS with Cloth for to get him for to make me a coat When I returnd back as far as HUGH COFFEYS there was some Company sporting & the insisted on me for to Light so I did so we Drank Whisky awhile & some of them sot off with me & we went to HUGH McCAINS seniers & there was a Number of people Collected there for to see a Couple of Negroes Maried so I tarried awhile & WM McCAIN & his Wife was there & the so freindly invited me for to go home with them that I could not reject them so I rode off home with them & staid all Night (SALLY McCAIN) she was very freindly-- this evening uncle Doubled a run of Whisky for me made 11 gallons -

Early I Left HUGH RODGERS & went home to uncles. & from that I sot off in order for to go to Dadys I called in at PETER RAPES & Miss PEGGY ORR being there I spent some time in conversation with her & it seemed for to do her a great pleasure. from RAPES I went to Dadys from that up to brother ALEXRS made but Little stay till I returnd back to Dadys & staid all Night

I Thowed up my singlings in order for to Double Than I went to DAVID CRANSHAWS from that to HENERY CHANSHAWS mechenery I was after Money but got None so I returnd home.  my run out my run made 11 gallons.  Than I sot off with brother WM & WM RODGERS & went up to PETER RAPES there we turnd in & took us a grog from that we went to brother WMS in the Night WM RODGERS & I went to JNO OSBOURNS from that to DAVID ORRS there we tool up Lodging till morning (MARGRET ORR) Ah but she was glad of my Company

we Left ORRS & went to JNO REDFORDS or I may rather say to the WIDOW OSBOURNS from that to brother WMS from that we sot off for home & I went home to uncles

I Doubled a run of Whisky made 11 gallons I Expect it to be the Last that I will make for myself this season I sadled my horse & sot off & went to SAMUEL ADAMS & he was not at home so I went over to old Mr CHARLES ADAMS & converst a while with Miss MARY ROBERTSON his step Daughter Than I returnd back to SAMUEL ADAMS again about Dark he came home & WM GIVENS came there ADAMS & him & I stept over to his fathers again than I made out my Little Chat with the above Named Miss ROBERTSON - the people seemed very familer I went home with ADAMS again & staid till morning

Early I Left SAMUEL ADAMS & went home to uncles from there I went Down Near to THO NEELS where a Covenanter Minister precht before I got there he was began I did not hear his Taxt in the forenoon but in the afternoon it was the song of Soloman 6 Chapt & 10 verse.  When sermon was ended I rode home

Early I Left Dadys & went to JAS BECKETS from that to PETER RAPES I had some business back to BECKETS so I went back from that to brother WM from that I turnd & went to old MR HOMES for to see him about Croping with him but he had got another hand for to till his Land. so I went to JOSEPH (           ) from that home to uncles.

I run my stills till even than by the request of old Mr. JNO WALKER I went to his house for to see some ground that I wanted some Body for to till this summer but when I went there I did not Like the ground Therefore I Left that & went to where JAS DENTON SMART now lives from that home. & give out the Notion of Raising corn this season.

we went up to a meeting house about a mile for to hear preaching When sermon was over we went home I sot off & went Down to THO McCRORYS on Camp Creek there I staid all Night

after Brackfasting with Mr McCRORYS him & some more & I sot off & went to Lancaster Court house for this day Court begins there - However by the way we called in at GEORGE WHITES & Drank some Whisky than went on I staid through Town till even than I Left that & Rode Down the Road about 6 or 7 miles to old MR SCOTTS There I tarryed awhile & Drank some Brandy than I went to his son JAS there I mean for to Lodge because I am some acquented with them about Dark him & I walked over to one MR VICKERYS & back again & the freindly Entertained me till morng

after takeing of Brackfast with Mr JAS SCOTT & his family him & I went to his fathers from that up to the Court house & Courised through town till in the Night Than I went to old Mr NATHANIEL COUSARDS there I staid all Night & was hospitaly Entertained (this night I fell into Chat with Miss FEBY his Daughter & got her free Consent for to mary with me which causes me ofter for to laugh in my sleave.

my Aunt & I went to ROBERT ROBERTSON this day his Daughter MARY was MARID to Little BERY CRENSHAW & there was a Quentity of people Late we went home.

we went to ROBERT ROBERTSONS for to see the New Maried Couple again from that we convoyed them to DAVID CRENSHAWS there we had a great frolic Late in the even we went home

I Masht a run of Whisky & run singlings. till Late in the evening & JNO McCRORY came a long going to JNO HUEYS Esqr for some Money that he had there so I fines up & off I goes with him with an expectation of geting some of the Money & for to have some conversation with some of the Esqr Daughters When we got there the one I made Choise of was Miss JENNEY because I had a good Deal of conversation with her before.  after some times Chat she says you need not come for to see me any more with an intention of marrying (Now this was what I would as Leave hear as any) well says I too her if it is your will that I should not come again it is my pleasure not for to do it for I ner mean for to insist upon No one for to marry me unless it is their good will for to do so freely so we Discourst on a while upon Matters & she soon began for to see that I was not much uneasy about it - then she began & told me for Why she told me so just for to see whether I was easy affronted I made her the Reply that such things Never Distubed me for I was not beholden to None Nor I was not so much in love as for to give me one hours Discontentment & so our Chat went on till some time in the night then I Bid her Adue.  MR McELROY & I Rode home to uncles & it was very Dark Riding.

Early I Left brother ALEXRS & went to Dadys from that I sot off in order for to go to one Mr JNO STEWARDS for to about some Money he was oweing of me I calld in at the WIDOW OSBOURNS from that to DAVID MOORS there I fell in company with MR REED & Mr DOBENS & Rode on ab 5 or 6 miles & we fell in company with the sd Mr STEWARD that I wanted for to see & we all agreed for to go to one Mr MEGEES & take a Drop a Drop of Dram so we went to Mr MEGEES with one accord & took our Dram from that by the Requst of Mr STEWARD I went home with him & he had some business at one W SMITHS about 2 miles & he wanted me for to accompany him there so off we went but Did not make much tarry till we Returned back &      was come & we tarryed till morning Mr STEWARD had a Daughter calld NANCY & I undertook for to give her a Chat & by my swer I do not think that ever she had much Experience in coppany before hy her way of Answering Questions

Mr SAMUEL JONES & I sot off with Mr JNO STEWERD from his house & went to WM HOUSTENS Esqr & we staid till even then Mr JONES & I Left that & went to his house I wanted for to go on to my fathers but Mr JONES insisted on me so much for to a Lite & take some grog & Dinner with him at Last he prevailed with me & alighted & Drank some Whisky & took Dinner Than I went on to my brother in Laws JNO AIKENS by this time it was in the Night & I staid till morning

I went from JNO AIKENS to Dadys & staid a While than I went on home to uncles.  I felt happy that I was got home.

I Left WM McCAINS & went to GEORGE HELLAMS from that to SOLLOMON SIMONS the jewes there I bought some Articles out of his store from that I went to brother ALEXRS from that to my fathers & Late in the even over to brother WM made but Little stay but back to Dadys & staid till morning.

JNO AIKENS came to Dadys going to JAS LOWEYS & he desired me for a ride over with him so I did & we Returnd back to Dadys Late in the even I went up to brother ALEXRS (for Past time) Staid till in the night & back to Dadys and staid till morning

a certain JAS HAGGENS came to uncles hunting of 2 Mares & I sot off with him & we went to SHARID GREYS Esqr thare we got word of them at JAS HENNINGENS so we went there & HENNIGEN was Riding of one of the Mares & the other was stabled at the WIDOW PORTERS - we went to the Widows & got that one & from that home to uncles & staid all Night

Late in the even I went with WM & JAS RODGERS home to their fathers & staid all Night (FAN RODGERS

I sot off for to go to Lancaster I called in at JNO HUEYS Esqr I turnd in for Discourse Miss JENNY a while & she told me that on tusday next she was for to be Married & she Desired me for to come & see her that day & I told her that I would but perhaps I may not go for all that for I do not full fill every promise that I make & that some of the girls would know one day or another. from that I went on to JEORGE WHITS staid there while & went on to Lancaster Town & staid all Night with Mr HUGH McMULLEN

I was through Lancaster Town till about 10 oclock than I sot off for home & came as far as Mr NATHANIEL COUSARDS & the insisted on me for to Light so I did my horse was put to feed imeditly - & Miss FEBY seemed so much taken with me that I thought that she wanted for to have some conversation with me so I stept into the with her and as Mr McMULLEN says give her some cheek wing but very Little truth. from there to THOMAS McCRORYS from there I went to JNO HUEYS Esqr. the ware so kind that the would Let me go no farther till I would take Dinner with them & so I did. - then I went on home

I sot off & went to Dadys Late in the evening I walked over to brother WMS & as I returnd back to Dadys I saw a hog walking over the creek upon a small Log some hight off the water & I swere I thought that was a great a Novelty as I have seen this 2 days.

I was makeing of myself a pair of overalls (I got a Note on FRANCES ASHLEY for 30 Bushels of corn in the Last week of November Next - another on JNO FINEY for 24 Bushels payable in the first week of December Next all Dellivered at uncles Mill)
