MALONE, Fla. - John W. Price, 80, of
Malone, formerly of Woodsfield, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at his home in
Malone after a brief illness. He was
born Feb. 20, 1922, in Woodsfield to Clarence E. and Hazel Gillispie Price. He
was a past general chairman of the United Transportation Union. He was a
veteran of the African and European Theaters of Operations during World War II.
He was an avid golfer for more than 70 years.
He is survived by his wife of 55
years, Jeannie Cline Price; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Jodi Grimm
Price; one daughter, Stephanie and Nathan Shimer; six grandchildren, Kelli
Price Chawla, Christian Price, Stacie McGarry Grose, Schuyler McGarry Strawser,
Laura Shimer and Nik Shimer; and three great-grandchildren, Victoria Strawser,
Rebecca Grose and Seth Grose.
He was preceded in death by his
parents.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at
Bauer-Turner Funeral Home in Woodsfield with the Rev. Richard Wilson officiating.

enjoyed social events and was fun to be with.

He farmed until 1970 and then worked
for the County Highway Department retiring in 1989. He moved to this area in 1948.
He was a member of the St. John United
Church of Christ, former Lykens School Board member, North Robinson Equity
board, the Crawford County Fair board member; served on the church board and
was a 4-H advisor. He enjoyed carpentry
and especially liked making grandfather clocks and working in his yard.

Traylor Young, called her all my life, believed with her whole heart in Jesus
Christ and the "Good News" which He brought to all of mankind. She attempted in every way she knew how, to
spread the Gospel to everyone she met and to countless people around the world
through her participation in the World Radio, Herald of Truth, World Christian
Broadcasting, and In Search of the Lord's Way ministries.
She worshipped at the Goudy Church of
Christ but considered herself a member of the body of Christ whereever it met.

Mr. Matson died March 28, 2002, at Selma Markowitz
Hospice care center. He was born Aug.10, 1943, in
Mr. Matson worked at Diebold, Inc. For 28
years. He served in the navy in the
1960's, and was a member of the CWA-AFL-CIO local #84710.

Corning--Clarissa Wallace, 87, of
Mrs. Wallace was born Dec. 19, 1914, in
Brooks to John Frederick and Georgia Anna Roberts Stalder. She married Marion Paul Wallace Dec. 31,
1933. Mrs. Wallace was a homemaker and
member of the
Survivors include two daughters, Marge
(husband Harold) Voggesser of Maryville, Mo., and Marilyn Hollinrake of
Corning; son Ron (wife Mary) Wallace of Elsberry, Mo.; brother Leo (wife Dixie)
Stalder of Corning; two sisters, Leona (husband Dean) Kester and Evelyn
Hardisty, all of Corning; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; husband Marion Paul Wallace in 1997; brothers Melvin, Edgar and Alvin
Stalder; infant sister; and brother-in-law Paul Hardisty.

Philippine Liberation, Asiatic Pacific, American Theatre and European Theatre. He was later recalled to duty during the
Korean Conflict from August 28, 1951 to April 23, 1952.
He enjoyed restoring antiques and
woodworking.
Preceding him in death were his
parents, step sisters Ruby Greenfield and Esther Anderson and brothers Charles
and Dale Stalder.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of
State College, PA; children, Donna Vojcsik and husband James of Palm City, FL,
and John Stalder and wife Tamie of Merritt Island, FL; 4 step-grandchildren;
sister Marie Pullen and husband Art of Villisca; step-sister Ruth Lampe of
Winterset, IA; and a brother James Stalder and wife Bonnie of Greenfield, IA.
