Rich Fork Church of Christ
The Rich Fork Church of Christ is located on Monroe
County Road # 17 not far from the intersection of Monroe County Roads #17 and
#26.
The transaction
involving the purchase of the land for the construction of Rich Fork Church can
be found in the Monroe County Deed Bk #7, p 92. The land was sold by Sinclair Barber and his wife, Margaret
Watters Barbara to the Deacons of Christ Church. The deed reads, in part:
”I Sinclair Barber and Margaret Barber (Watters) wife of said Sinclair Barber
for $1, to Amos Willison, Jacob Shorman )?) and Martin Baker, Senior Deacons of
the Church of Christ, a lot of 5/8 acres.

Sinclair Barber and Margaret Barber were the grandparents of Mary Ann Barber
Cronin (1849 – 1921) the wife of Alexander Cronin.
