His passing leaves a void in the community that cannot soon be filled.

Thus we are reminded in the Midst of Life we are in Death, which is inevitable, and we must all cross the Divide.

                             We travel a winding road,

                             A road without an end,

And they who seem so far away

                             Are only `round the bend.

                             They face a brighter sunshine

                             Softer breezes-skies more blue

But some sweet day-not far away

                             We’ll meet again with you.

Christman, George M. Christman

Christman, Celia Christman

Monroe County Beacon, Woodsfield, Ohio, dated, August 22, 1974

In loving memory of our Father, George M. Christman, who passed away in March, 1957, and our Mother, Celia Christman, who passed away in August 1971.

What would I give if I could say

Hello Father and Mother in the same old way,

To hear their voice and see their smile,

To sit and chat with them a while.

Their gentle face and patient smile,

                   With sadness we recall,

They had a kind word for each of us

And died beloved by all.

It broke our heart to give them up,

But they did not go alone,

The greatest part of us went with them

The day God called them home.

It doesn’t matter where we go,

And no matter what we do,

There will always be something

To make us think of you.

Looking back with special memories

As life’s weary road we trod,

We bless the years we had with them

And leave the rest to God.

We still wander out the road

To the graves not far away

Where we laid our beloved ones

In the last few years.

Sadly missed by son, Clarence Christman, and daughter, Estella Baker.

Not till the m is silent

And the shuttles cease to fly,

                             Shall God unroll the curtain

                             And explain the reason why.

                             There is love that comforts,

There is a light that leads,

                             There is a Heavenly Father

                             Who understands our needs.

Miller, Adam Miller

Monroe County Beacon, Woodsfield, Ohio, dated, March 28, 1974

                                      In Memoriam

In loving memory of my dear husband, Adam W. Miller, who passed away March 29, 1966.

Fifty-two years we spent living together, we were content, some were happy, some were sad. To live them over, I’d be glad. It’s a lonely world when you’re all alone, when there is no one to share every sorrow and care, when there’s no one to greet you at the close of the day. The sunshine may come in your heart but never to stay.

It’s a lonely world when you’re all alone, that’s the way my world is since you are gone, there is no way to count the tears I have shed, and the nights I have been blue, dear, just thinking of you. There’s a bridge that leads beyond this world of time and space, through a green and peaceful valley to a lovely dwelling place, where our loved ones find true joys that never end, across the bridge that leads beyond the peaceful valley bend.

Sadly missed by wife, Letha Miller and children.

In loving memory of our dear parents, Ella Ollom, who passed away October 18, 1973 and Calvin Ollom, who passed away March 31, 1952

In loving memory of our dear parents

Whom we all miss and love.

They answered the call of the Angels,

And have gone to the Lord above.

And we who cared for and loved them

                   Whose passing brought sad tears,

                   Will cherish their memory always,

                   To brighten the drifting years.

                   Somewhere back of the sunset

                   Where loneliness never dies,

They live in a land of glory,

Mid the blue and gold of skies.

A smile for all with hearts of gold

They were the best this world could hold.

Deep in our hearts they will always stay,

                   Loved and remembered everyday.

                   Their busy hands are resting,

Their work on earth is done,

                   Their worries are all ended,

                   Their Heavenly Crown is won.

Someday we hope to meet them,

                   Someday we know not when,

To hold their hand in a better land

Never to part again.
