The following were reprinted in a column by Stella (Voelker)  Hammill Conerton called :kcaB gnikooL (Looking Back:) from her personal collection of old, original Ree Heights Review newspapers.
Note the "flowery" writing style of the early-day publishers.
Mrs. Lew Anderson;  Pub. 1975-04-18:  DN:  Funeral services for Mrs. Lew [Inez - ssdi] Anderson of Gann Valley were held at Wessington Springs, and burial was made in Prospect Hill Cemetery.  Mrs. Eldon (Norma) Moser of this city is one of her daughters. [b. Feb. 16, 1901-d. Apr. 1975-ssdi]

George R. Fawcett;
  Pub. 1975-05-02:  Funeral services for Geroge R. Fawcett, pioneer area farmer and rancher and stockman, were held Saturday afternoon at the Ree Heights United Church of Christ Congregational.  The Rev. Oliver Brekke of Huron was the officiating minister and interment was made in Moringside Cemetery [b. July 27, 1902 - d. April 1975-ssdi]

Jerald McClendon;
  Pub. 1975-04-11:  DN:  Jerry McClendon, 26, [b. December 1, 1947-ssdi], died March 28, 1975 in Rockford, Illinois, following a lengthy illness.  The body was cremated and brought to Ree Heights for burial.  A former resident of this area, he was the son of Katheryn McClendon.  He lived in the Ree Heights and Miller areas and attended school here. [Jerry graduated from Miller High School in 1966-yb.]

Richard Meehan;
  Pub. 1975-04-11:  DN:  Word has been received here by friends in Ree Heights of the death of Richard Meehan, son of the late Madge Meehan and the late Dolph Meehan, all former residents of Ree Heights.  Meehan [born June 1, 1916 - ssdi] died Friday, March 28, 1975 at Phoenix, following an illness of many months with cancer.

Olga Mitchell;
  Pub. 1975-05-02:  Mrs. Olga Mitchell, 74, and a former resident of Ree Heights, died last Thursday morning [April 24, 1975?]  in St. Mary's Hospital in Pierre.  Funeral services were held at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Pierre and at 3 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church, Miller, and burial was in Morningside Cemetery in Ree Heights. [b. October 10, 1900-ssdi]

Ruby Mullinex (Mrs. Dale);
  Pub. 1975-01-10:  DN:  Mrs. Josephine Flint received word of the death of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Dale Mullinex of Vinton, Iowa. [d. January 1975 - ssdi]  Mrs. Mullinex was the former Ruby Flint [b. June 8, 1922], who grew up in the Ree Heights area.  She was a sister of the late Howard Flint.

Dorothy Nolz;  Pub. 1975-05-09:  DN:  Following an illness of several years' duration, Mrs. William (Dorothy) Nolz died Friday, May 2, 1975 at Yankton at the age of 56.  She was born February 18, 1919 at Harvey, Iowa, to Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson.  As an infant, she moved to the Miller area with her parents, and attended rural school.  For several years she was employed at the hotel in Miller.  She was married to William J. Nolz June 25, 1957, and they farmed in Campbell Township.

Mrs. M.W. Pangburn;  Pub. 1975-03-27:  DN:  Mrs. M.W. Pangburn, 72, died Friday, March 27, 1975, following a month's illness.  She died at Kenney Institute in Minneapolis, where she had been taken for treatment following a stroke, which she had suffered February 14.  Death was due to a heart attack.
