The following were reprinted in a column by Stella (Voelker)  Hammill Conerton called :kcaB gnikooL (Looking Back:) from her personal collection of old, original Ree Heights Review newspapers.
Note the "flowery" writing style of the early-day publishers.

Hazel Higgins Campbell Allen;  Pub. 1973-08-03:  Burial rites for Hazel Higgins Campbell Allen were held at Morningside Cemetery at Ree Heights Monday afternoon.  Mrs. Allen died July 12 at the Viborg hospital at the age of 68.  Mrs. Allen was a one-time resident of the Ree Heights community.  She was born at Sioux City, Iowa and in 1919 moved to Hand County with her parents.  September 16, 1925, she was married to Wallace Campbell, and they remained on the farm until 1941, when they moved to Aberdeen, where she worked at St. Luke's Hospital from 1948 until 1969.  Her husband died in 1967 and in 1968 she married Harold K. Allen.

Michelle Fink; Pub. 1973-05-04:  Mr. & Mrs. Howard Beck of Ree Heights received word Saturday of the accidental death of their six-year-old granddaughter, Michelle Fink, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Fink of Farmington, New Mexico.  The child had lost her life by drowning in a river near her home.  Mrs. Fink, mother of the child, was the former Betty Beck of Ree Heights.  Mr. Fink taught for several years in the Ree Heights school system, until its closing.

James M. Grunewaldt;  Pub. 1973-08-24:  A young Hand County man, James M. Grunewaldt, 23, drowned last Thursday morning, August 16, in a stock dam on his father's farm southeast of Orient.  He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Grunewaldt of Park Township.  According to Sheriff Don Bahr, young Grunewaldt had been rounding up stray cattle with his father when the accident occurred about 8 a.m.  He had apparently ridden close to the edge of the reservoir when his horse floundered, throwing him off into the water.

Mrs. Myrtle Harvey; Pub. 1973-02-09:  Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Harvey, 84, of Ree Heights, were held Saturday afternoon at the Ree Heights Church of Christ (Congregational) with Mrs. Roma Eschliman officiating.  Interment was in Morningside Cemetery, Ree Heights.  Mrs. Harvey died January 30 in St. John's Regional Medical Center in Huron.  She was born May 26, 1888, at Alexandria, South Dakota, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fawcett.  She married Grover Cleveland Harvey January 8, 1908, at Ethan, where they continued to make their home for several years.  In 1918, they moved to a farm south of Ree Heights.

Harry O. Kroning;  Pub. 1973-07-06:  Harry O. Kroning, 75, died Saturday, June 30, 1973, at St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen.  Funeral services were held in the United Church of Christ Congregational in Ree Heights.  Mrs. Roma Eschliman officiated.  Interment was in Morningside Cemetery, Ree Heights.  He was a resident of Riverside Township since 1935.  He was born at Redfield March 17, 1898, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul W. Kroning.

Henry Seeley; Pub. 1973-04-20:  Henry  Seeley, former resident of Ree Heights and Miller, died April 3 after suffering a heart attack at his home in Pueblo, Colorado.  He was 63 years of age.  He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Seeley, who lived in Miller many years ago.  While in Ree Heights, he worked as a carpenter.
