William Morris Holz; Pub. 1935-02-08: William Morris Holz, only son of Mr. and Mrs. John Holz, Miller, passed away Friday morning, February 1, 1935 in the Miller hospital. He was 10 years, five months and 21 days old at the time of his death. They lived in Ree Heights until about five years ago. Services were held in the Lutheran Church in Miller and burial was in Morningside Cemetery in Ree Heights beside his baby sister.
Herman Koch; Pub. 1935-04-12: DN: Funeral services were held at Gann Valley Friday for Herman Koch, 79, who succumbed to a stroke suffered at the Miller Hospital April 2, 1935. Mr. Koch homesteaded near Gann Valley in the early '80's. He was the father of 13 children, eight sons and five daughters. For many years his sons have formed the nucleus of the well-known Gann Valley Bluejay baseball team.
Margaret Mary Kuper; Pub. 1935-04-05: DN: Funeral services were held Tuesday morning [April 2, 1935], daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kuper, living on a farm 6-1/2 miles northeast of Ree Heights. The little girl was one of 10 children and was two years old. Funeral services were held at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Miller, and four little girls dressed in white were pallbearers.
