Emma (Holt) Enger; Pub. 1925-05-22: Mrs. Enger Called Home -- Emma Holt was born in Ness County in Norway, on the 14th of July, 1852 and passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 1925. She was united in marriage to Arne H. Enger in 1874 in Christiania, where they resided until 1880, when they, with their three small children, came to the United States. They spent ten years near Ft. Thompson before settling here. They added six more children to this marriage. One was laid to rest in the Cemetery thirty-nine years ago in Ft. Thompson. She slipped away without a struggle, peacefully and calmly into the arms of her Maker, who was ready to receive her into His fold. The funeral was held Saturday and burial was made in Morningside Cemetery in Ree Heights.
Joseph Gubka; Pub. 1925-03-17: Joseph Gubka, father of Mrs. Martin Lingscheit, passed away on March 12, 1925. He has been making his home with the M.J. Lingscheits for the past few years. The body was taken to Centerville for burial on the 13th. He was born in Austria, Hungary, January 9, 1833. He came to America July 14, 1868 and settled in Chilton, Wisconsin, from there to Lincoln County, South Dakota, where he settled on a homestead.
Wilma Gertrude Scott; Pub. 1925-04-24: William Gertrude, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Scott, passed away at the Highmore hospital, Wednesday morning. The little one was born April 16, 1925 and lived only six days after birth. Funeral services were held at Morningside Cemetery Wednesday afternoon with Rev. George T. Matthews.
George Wilson; Pub. 1925-05-22: George Wilson passed away at his home southeast of Ree Heights last Thursday [May 14?] at the age of 41 years and 7 months. Mr. Wilson was born at Harvey, Iowa on October 3, 1883 and in 1905 was married to Elizabeth DeGeest. To this union was born four children, two boys and two girls, Thelma, Cornelius, Beulah and Marion. Funeral services were held in the home on Sunday by Rev. George T. Matthews and interment was made in Morningside Cemetery, Ree Heights.
