Hilma L. Williams, 70, St. Lawrence, died Monday, October 17, 1988 at Huron Regional Medical Center.
The funeral was 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Lawrennce Community Church with the Rev. Richard Ransom officiating. Burial was in the St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Hilma Leola Harris was born May 28, 1909 at St. Lawrence to Mr. and Mrs. Harvey (Lefa Ford) Harris. She grew up in the St. Lawrence area and graduated from St. Lawrence High School and Huron Business College. She worked at St. Lawrence Farmers Union.
She married Everett Williams, son of Otis & Nellie (Martin) William, July 16, 1930, at Pearl Hall, rural St. Lawrence. Following their marriage they farmed in the St. Lawrence area.
She was a member of St. Lawrence Community Church and Women's Missionary Society.
Survivors include five daughter, Mrs. Renold (Alaca) Christman and Mrs. Arlys Hoffman, both of Redfield; Mrs. Lowell (Alvina) Porter of Rapid City; Mrs. Ed (Mary) Styles of Sioux Falls and Mrs. Richard (Martha) Byrum, Merriman, Nebraska; four sons, Wesley of Los Angeles, California, Oren of Eagle Creek, Oregon, Eros, Sioux Falls and Earl, Canton; 25 grandchildren and 28 grat-grandchidren; a sister, Mrs. Orvin (Maribell) Curtis, Minneapolis, Minnesota; four brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law and spouses, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in July 1971, and her parents.*
Pallbearers were Omar and Gary Swartzendruber, George Melber, Bob Waldrop, Kenneth VanZee and Maxon Conkey.
