Mrs. Isabel R. Skinner, 78, died Friday morning, July 25, 1980 at the Hand County
Memorial Hospital.

Isabel Choate was born May 17, 1902 at St. Lawrence, thedaughter of Charles and
Anna Choate. She grew up in Pearl Township, Hand County and was married to Glenn
E. Skinner on January 19,1921 at Miller.

The couple lived on several farms in theSt. Lawrence area and in 1945 purchased a
farm in Logan Township where they resided until their retirement in November, 1963.
Following retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Skinner moved to St. Lawrence and Mrs. Skinner
came to Miller in November, 1979. She had been a resident of Prairie Good Samaritan
Center since March, 1980.

She is survived by one son, Warren Skinner, Miller; three grandchildren and one

She was death by her parents, her husband in September, 1979; one sister
and one brother.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 28 at the First Presbyterian Church with the
Rev. James Smucker officiating. Burial was in the St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Roy Yearous, Eugene Porter, Clifford Johnson, Richard Cotton,
Herman VanDenBerg and Ralph Zieger. Honorary pallbearers were
Evelyn Fanning, Anna Johnson, Ethel Cotton, Mary Ellen Porter, Lena VanDenBerg and
Dorothy Yearous.
