Willard James Harrell, 74, of Canadian, Texas, died Thursday, May 4, 1995 at the hospital in Canadian.
Funeral services were held May 8 at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in
Canadian. Burial was in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery.
He was born June 29, 1920 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Creed Audust * and Alice Clark
Harrell. He was raised in Follett, Texas, and served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII.
He was married to Lenora Mathis on January 5, 1942 in Shattuck. He farmed in Miller and traveled extensively harvesting wheat. The Harrells moved to Canadian, Texas in 1968 and have been the owners and operators of Tip-Top Cleaners in Canadian since 1973.
He was a man of many varied interests, and especially enjoyed traveling on his motorcycle.
He was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God in Canadian.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandson: Nathan Thomas Harrell and
Scott Daniel Harrell.
He is survived by his wife, Lenora, and two sons, Don J. Harrell of Wagner, and Delmar J. Harrell of Portland, Oregon; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two sisters,
Audrey Reger of Follett, Texas, and Erma Hunter of Oklahoma City; four brothers, Claude Harrell of Shattuck, Ola Ray and Max Marrell, both of Miller, and Norval Harrell of Amarillo, Texas.
Pallbearers were Darvin Harrell, Delvin Harrell, Greg Harrell, Harry Harrell, Lynn Harrell and Mike Hunter.
