Mrs. Jessie Fanning, 88, of Miller, died Sunday, April 21, 1991, at Hand County Memorial Hospital.

The funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Miller with the Rev. Donald Molumby officiating.  Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Miller.

Friends may call at the Reck Funeral Home Thursday afternoon.  A Scripture service and rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Catholic Church.

Jessie Perrott was born August 2, 1902 in Florence Township, Hand County, the daughter of Joseph and Lottie (Smith) Perrott.  In 1907 they migrated by covered wagon to Nebraska where they lived until 1917.

In September of 1919, * she married  J.W. (Jack) Fanning in Miller.  They lived their entire liife in Hand County.

She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Miller and the St. Theresa's Band of St. Ann's Alter Society.

Survivors include one son, Jack Fanning of St. Lawrence;  six  daughters;  Nadine Fanning of Reno, Nevada, Mrs. Ted (Leone) Perkins, Mossyrock, Washington, Anne Antonechuk of Harrison, Arkansas, Mrs. Gene (Dessie) Price, Mrs. Bernard (Donna) Coss and Mrs. Leo (Beth) Veskrna, all of Miller;  36 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her husband, her parents;  four sons, Vincent, Joe (Bub), Gary and Larry;  two daughters, Cleo Bryant and Lorraine Smithers;  three brothers, two sisters, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Active pallbearers will be William Bryant, Ted Perkins, Jr., Mark Bonebright, Tim and Paul Coss, Bryan and Craig Price, Tracy and John Fanning.

Honor guard will be her grandchildren.

Jack was first married to Josephine Perrott, Jessie's sister, who died in the flu epedemic, leaving 3 young children.  He and Jessie were married and together had 10 more children. Source: Daughter
