Clyde C. Collins, 82, of Miller died Friday, July 12, 1985, at Huron Regional Medical Center.
Clyde Cecil Collins was born April 30, 1903, at Miller, to Mr. and Mrs. William (Jemima) Collins. He graduated from South Dakota State University, Brookings, as a registered pharmacist.
He worked in Miller as a druggist and was then Hand County Treasuer for eight years. He returned to the pharmacy and worked in Huron, Fort Pierre and then 10 years at the Huron Clinic. For the past 11 years he has been a resident of the Prairie Good Samaritan Center, Miller.
He married Weynona "Bobby" Dady June 11, 1935 at Mitchell.
He was a 50 year member of the South Dakota Pharmaceutical Association.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Rhodes of Wessington Springs, and Mrs. Ruth Winckler of Rapid City; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Opal Collins of Miller and Mrs. Don (Irene) Sinks of Chattanooga, TN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and two brothers.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Reck Funeral Home, Miller, with the Rev. Joel Harris officiating. Burial will be in the GAR Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Reck Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Pallbearers are Don Sinks, Grant Collins, Bruce Burrell, John Sinks, Verne Collins, and Ron Blachford.
