Dollie Scheibe, 83, formerly of Wolsey, died Monday, June 14, 2004, at the Huron
Funeral services were held June 19 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey with the
Rev. Nathan Henschen officiating. Burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Church
Dollie L. Stobbs was born December 7, 1920, in Hand County to Guy and Ada (Sass)
Stobbs. She grew up in the Wessington area and attended Wessington High School.
She married Mores W. Scheibe January 6, 1947, at Wolsey. They lived on a farm in
Whiteside Township until 1966, when they moved to Wolsey. She worked as a cook at
Wolsey School for several years.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey, L.W.M.L., Social Sisters,
the Wolsey Senior Center, and R.S.V.P. Dollie enjoyed quilting, needlework and
She is survived by her children, Wayne (Tove) Scheibe of Copenhagen, Denmark,
Marlus (Keith) Lemke of Huron, and Darles (Vivian) Scheibe of Yorkville, Ill.; four sisters,
Edna Peterson of Huron, Nellie Scheibe of Wolsey, Blanche McNeil of Huron and Evelyn
Chalcraft of Huron; a sister-in-law, Marie Stobbs of Huron; six grandchildren and three

brothers, John Stobbs and William Stobbs.
