Clarence W. Muellenberg, 81, of Zell, South Dakota, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 at Beverly Healthcare Center in Redfield.
His funeral will be Wednesday, March 3, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Zell at 11 a.m. with Fr. William Osborn officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery with full military honors.
Clarence was born July 21, 1922 in Zell, to Frank and Magdelina (Eschenbaum)
Muellenberg. He graduated from Redfield High School in 1940. He served in the United
States Navy from 1942 to 1946. He married Janice Higgins February 8, 1950, in
Redfield. Clarence lived on the family farm all his life.
He was member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Zell and was a Life Member of the
Redfield Veteran of Foreign Wars and the Rockham American Legion. He enjoyed
traveling with his wife.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Janice Muellenberg of Zell; one son, Lorrey (Jerri)
Muellenberg of Houston, Texas; one daughter Charlene (Dante) Sergent of Rocklin,
California; three grandchildren; two sisters, Angela Dienslake of Fargo, N.D. and Dorothy Kalkman of Faulkton; and one brother, Douglas Muellenberg of Columbus, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
