Charles G. Losey, 81, Newton, Kan., formerly of Miller, South Dakota died Tuesday, June 29, 2004.
Funeral Mass was held Friday, July 2 at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Miller
with Fr. Jerome Ranek officiating. Burial was in St. Ann's Cemetery.
Casketbearers were Bob and Jack Ufen, Larry and Steve Danburg, Dale and Dennis
Simons, Roger Venjohn and Doug Lundeen.
Reck Funeral Home, Miller, was in charge of arrangements.
Charles Greeley Losey was born October 16, 1922 in Armour, S.D., to Mary Catherine
(Halter) and Clyde Horace Losey. He married Phyllis Irene Danburg April 22, 1944 in
His life centered around his family, his farm and the Alcoholics Anonymous Program.
He chose to reside in Newton Presbyterian Manor in Newton, Kansas, for the last seven
years, to be close to his daughters.
Survivors include two daughters, Victoria (Dean) Dragoo of Newton, Kan., Linda
(Richard) Acee of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three sons, Michael (Dianna) Losey of Rapid
City, Robert (Kathy) Losey of Deadwood and Richard Losey of Deadwood; seven
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joan Lundeen of Huron, Mary
Ida Gholson of Gold Canyon, Ariz., and Florence Danielson of Pierre.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Phyllis, his parents and three
