Arlie Annabelle Palmer Klym, Bloomington, Minn., died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004, at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services were held at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Bloomington, with
pastors Morris Wee and Kristine Carlson officiating.

Arlie Palmer was born on a farm in Hyde County, S.D., the daughter of Charles and
Barbara Palmer.

After graduating from Miller High School in 1947, Arlie moved to Minneapolis, where she
met Ray Klym. They were married at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis in February
of 1953.

She lived in Bloomington for over 50 years. She was a long-time member of Christ the
King Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Judean Circle, the J.O.Y. group,
and a quilting group. She was also active in the Collect-A-Bells antique club.

One of Arlie's greatest loves was antique shopping. Mostly, she just wanted to spend
time with her children and grandchildren. Throughout the long battle with her illness, she
loved the phone calls and the visits from her children and many friends.

She is survived by her children, Jerry (Bev) of Omaha, Neb., Dave (Marie) of Fort Worth,
Texas, Bob (Sheila) of Lakeville, Minn., Carole (Charles Westrum) of Apple Valley,
Minn., and Darcy (Scott Lebrun) of Maple Lake, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; her sister,
Lavonne Frank of Bloomington, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.

Arlie was preceded in death by her mother and father; her brother, Paul; and
brother-in-law, Ralph Frank.
