Elaine A. Hoffman, 73, of Rockham, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004 at her home.
Her funeral was held November 24 at the United Methodist Church in Rockham, with the Rev. Carl Hedman officiating. Burial was in the Rockham Cemetery.
Elaine Clark was born August 17, 1931 at Redfield to Richard and Alvina (Miller) Clark. She graduated from Redfield High School in 1949.
She married Willard Hoffman on June 11, 1950, at Redfield. They farmed west of Rockham.
She was active in her family and community. She was president of the Faulkton School Board, a past president of the Yelduz Shrine Ladies Auxiliary and Daughters of the Nile, was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She sang in the choir for many years and attended Bible study.
She enjoyed crocheting afghans, find-a-word puzzles and attending her grandchildren's activities.
She is survived by her husband; three children, Bruce Hoffman of Rockham, Suzan Hoffman of Kansas City, Mo., and Lorri (Harlow) Peterson of Aberdeen; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Don (Lorraine) Clark of Golden, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
