Zelda Mae Hagen, 87, of Canby, Oregon, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, at the home of her daughter in Canby.
A memorial service was held August 28 at the Canby Funeral Chapel. Burial was at Zion Memorial Cemetery in Canby.
Zelda Mae was born August 23, 1917, at St. Lawrence, S.D. to George and Inez (Burlingame) Banning. She was reared and educated in the St. Lawrence area, graduating from St. Lawrence High School in 1935. After high school, she graduated from Mankato Business College.
She married Leonard Hagen August 25, 1938, at Miller. They moved to Oregon in 1942, where she has made her home since. They reared and educated their children in Brownsville, Ore., before moving to Eugene, Ore. Leonard died in 1968.
She worked for the Oregon Parole and Probation Department for 17 years, before retiring in 1984. She moved to Canby in 1994.
Survivors include her son, Leroy (Linda) Hagen of Turlock, Calif.; her daughter, Sharon Templeton of Canby; five grandchildren and their spouses; and six great-grandchildren.
Her parents, her husband, and her sister, Irma VanZee, preceded her in death.
