Carl LeRoy Fischer, 76, of Fort Hall, Idaho, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at his home.
A private family burial was held April 23 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Miller.
He was born August 27, 1927, in South Dakota, the son of Carl J. and Elizabeth Mae
Gallagher Fisher. He received his education in Pollock, S.D.
He served in the United States Navy, where he became a chef.
Following his tour of duty in the Navy, he worked as a chef in Chicago, Ill.
He married Elsie Box on March 3, 1966. They made their home in Fort Hall, where he
has resided since. Elsie preceded him in death in 1978.
He worked at the State Hospital South and in law enforcement.
He is survived by three sisters, Pearl "Peggy" L. (Orley) Wangsness of Watertown,
Judith M. (Merle) Jenner of Miller, and Mary K. (Allen) Nedved of Pierre.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; his parents; and one brother, Robert "Bob."
